A note to anyone who noticed a slowdown on the site

->> Just an FYI for all of you who may have experienced a bit of slowness on this site last night. (Tuesday)
It seems that the video [ http://www.sportsshooter.com/special_feature/2003_afc/index.html ] put up by our 'Oscar award winning' director Grover Sanschagrin was extremely popular. That, along with the fact that the file is quite large, caused us to use an enormous amount of bandwidth. We completely filled multiple T1 lines.
For anyone who doesn't understand what that means, suffice it to say that we completely saturated an extremely fast internet connection. For several hours in a row.
The problem has been remedied now as we have dispersed that file to multiple other servers and it is now being served by all of them in a round-robin fasion.
Our apologies if anyone experienced a really bad slowdown. |

The day will never come that you guys owe any of us any sort of an apology. (Bert even for the four letter thing!) Dude, it's an IT issue. We know, and the fact you have done all of this for us sort of renders techno screw-ups to the back bench. ( A tip of the hat to our Commonwealth members) Grover's video is the absolute best media piece to derive from that game for the likes of us.
Hiccups go away....who cares? Hey Rich and Brad...when do pitchers and catchers report?
