Camera gear for a wildfire survivor

->> Hey everyone. I am cross-posting this from the for sale/wanted page in hopes of reaching more people. Sorry if you are seeing this twice. I reached out a few weeks ago in hopes that someone(s) would be willing to donate or sell cheap some old camera gear for a family in need.

The Fletcher family lost their home and all their belongings in the Santa Rosa fires. They are a family of 6, so rebuilding is going to take a long time and they have to prioritize what to replace first and what has to wait until later as their insurance has not provided full coverage for all their belongings. Their second oldest daughter, Maggie (who is ~18 years old), is a budding photographer, but lost all her photography gear, including her camera, in the fire. Here is her website:

Since then, we have been trying to find little ways to help their family. As they piece their lives back together, our goal became to find a way to help Maggie get a camera again as a tangible way to encourage her in this difficult season of starting over.

We had a few people donate some canon gear (which is what she was using at the time). So I am on the look out for a canon body and possibly a few lenses. Someone donated an old 18-55 mm lens, but depending on the camera body we find, it may not fit. So if anyone has some older canon gear they are looking to get rid of and would like to have an impact on this wonderful young lady and her family, it would be greatly appreciated. Please email me with any questions: alyson@alycatphotos.com.
