Carlos Schiebeck obit

->> Last week I announced the death of AP's Red McLendon. Today we lost another strong force in the wire service photo business. Carlos Schiebeck headed the west coast photo operations of UPI and AFP in the '70s-'90s out of Los Angeles. He was in his '80s and died from esophageal cancer.

Through his leadership he mentored and created really good photographers who are still working today. His leadership also kept AP on its toes.
