UPS Re-Using Waybill Numbers
Jim Colburn, Photographer
Omaha | NE | USA | Posted: 1:42 PM on 08.22.17
->> I went on to UPS's website last night to re-direct a package to a UPS store where I can pick it up and was told that the package had been delivered in 2016 and that, at the same time, it was in transit and scheduled for delivery today. I was not able to re-direct it using the UPS My Choice system. I had to call UPS and "quite forcefully" demand that they fix things.

The local UPS Customer Service Center (a name that is a joke in itself) will, supposedly, call me today when it's ready for pick-up.

It turns out that UPS recycle their waybills every few years.
