Sebastiao Salgado thinks photography is dying
Sean Burges, Photographer, Photo Editor

->> Sebastiao Salgado has given an interview where he says he thinks photography is not going to survive more that 20 to 30 years. The link is to an article in Spanish, but high points are that he sees photography as being a lot more than the 'images' captured on mobile phones and shared on instagram. For him photography is something we touch, something we spend time looking at, not the transitory viewing of social media. We're moving on to something new and different that isn't photography.

Interesting read which does make me think back to how different photography was when I had to physically develop and then print my photos to look at and sell them. Lots in his interview to spark debate.
