->> The annual Sports Shooter Academy Open House will be held on Wednesday Nov. 2 at the Crowne Plaza - Costa Mesa Hotel.

The featured presentation will be a panel of three photographers you are all familiar with that covered the recent Rio Summer Olympics: Wally Skalij, Mike Goulding and Bob Deutsch.

We will follow that up with an "open mic" Q & A session involving the entire Sports Shooter Academy faculty which includes (besides the Wally, Mike and Bob): John Biever (who has covered all 50 Super Bowls), Matt Brown (local freelance photographer), Keith Birmingham (Los Angeles Area News Group), Hannah Foslien (Minneapolis-base freelance photographer), Mark J. Terrill (AP) and Myung J. Chun (Emmy-winning LA Times videographer).

Samy's Camera will be on-site with their mobile store with lots of deals and special workshop pricing on gear.

Nikon Professional Services, MAC Group (Elinchron, Sekonic, Benro, Endro, Ilford products), Lume Cube, PocketWizard and Think Tank Photo will be on-hand to show off and demo their latest gear.

The trade show will open at 5PM and admission is FREE.

For those of you that are Nikon shooters, NPS will be conducting a clean & check clinic. Intake begins at 2PM. So come on down to The OC, drop off your Nikon gear to get cleaned and hang around for the SSA Open House trade show and program!

Crowne Plaza - Costa Mesa
3131 Bristol St (just off the 405 Freeway)
Costa Mesa, CA 92626

The Sports Shooter Academy is sponsored by Nikon Professional Services. All 30 college and university students that have been accepted into the workshop had their tuition paid for by NPS. Thanks Mark Suban, Sara Wood, Brien Aho, Mike Corrado and Cpt. Ron Taniwaki for their continued support of THE coolest sports photography event of the year!
