Questions about Oklahoma's Memorial Stadium
Jim Davidson, Photographer, Photo Editor

->> Well, it looks like my assistant photographer and I will be heading to Norman Oklahoma for the Sooner vs. Buckeyes game on Sept. 17. I looked over "The Guide" listing for the stadium and it did answer some but not all of my questions.

1. Are you required to kneel in the endzones? It looks pretty tight down there. I had back surgery this summer and it will be very difficult for me to kneel for an extended period of time... or at all. Standing is my best option. Sitting on the ground is another possibility, if allowed.

2. It remains to be seen whether We'll get a parking pass. If we get on site like 5 hours before the game, are there any good option if we are willing to pay? Suggestions?

Kneeling is required in one endzone, however you can stand in the other. Siting is an option, but not on a stool.
If no parking pass, there are tons of places to park for $10-20.
You can park at the Wesley Foundation I think for 20 bucks and it is a short walk to the stadium.

With the new construction, I don't know where that will be this year.
Feel free to fire me any other questions.

->> Also Jim,
Traversing sidelines to end zones is tight, sometimes you have to enter 1st row of stands on visitor side to move freely. Oklahoma side is almost impossible.

->> Thanks for the info. I won't plan on bringing a stool. Probably sit on my butt in that one endzone. We finally got our credential approval email, 9 days before the event. There are some Big Ten schools where you have to enter the stands to switch endzone. Not too big of a problem for me, since I only switch between quarters, but my assistant usually tries to follow the action to each end of the field.

Looking forward to it!
