Capture One and Photo Mechanic

->> I am wondering if there is anyone that uses a Photo Mechanic to Capture One Pro work flow? I'm trying to find and see if there is a way to be able to show the color flags I set in PM in Capture one. I can't seem to find much info online about this. I have found that it looks like Capture One does not see crops from LR or PM. But I'm wondering if flags are the same way? Or if there is a way to set it up so they all talk?

If you have any info on this please let me know. Thanks

->> David - many years ago I used Capture One but changed to Lightroom when it was released. I made that change simply because LR played better with other software packages like PM and the Adobe Creative Suite. I've revisited Capture One Pro several times over the years but the workflow just isn't there when you are processing so many images. The output from RAW, however, does appear to be better in Capture One Pro vs LR. Not a lot ... just a little better.

I think if I was a landscape photographer or worked in the fashion industry COP would be a much better choice than LR.

Good luck!

->> Thanks Rob and Kevin for the input. I think for right now I will stick to my PM to LR for work flow when shooting on game assignment and I think I will put CO Pro to work and test for some of my other jobs.

->> Capture One is a bit too cumbersome for use in fast-paced editorial scenarios. But I use DxO Optics Pro that runs a lot faster, has no requirement for catalogs, and outputs freaking awesome files. Noise reduction, sharpening, pin-cushion and barrel-distortion corrections ALL automatic. I fly through my 500 images from basketball. Then, I use Photo Mechanic afterwards. I really don't understand why more people don't use DxO.
