->> I watched the documentary over the weekend. He was a fascinating person and photographer.

One question after watching the film, why did I never see him focus his camera? Was it set to infinity? Did he just always shoot from about the same distance?

It just left me curious that whenever I saw him take a photo on an older 35mm manual focus camera, I never saw him adjust the focus.

->> Seriously, at least to a certain extent. With a 35mm or 50mm lens set to F/8 and its focus pre-set to 10-15 feet pretty much anything from 5 feet to infinity will be in focus. Old school perhaps, but it works.
