Sports Shooter anecdotal humor

->> So last month I was in a state where it is customary to walk around with wood cameo everywhere and hunting is a way of life. I showed up at a tire repair shop wearing my trusty black "Sportsshooter.com" fleece jacket, and nothing I am wearing is cameo.

A woman in line ahead of me comes up to me and says: "What do you shoot?" From the look on my face she figured I was not paying too much attention so she points at the sportsshooter logo, and I answered: "Sports."

Confused, she asked "With what?" and my wryly answer was:"A canon with a 400 two-eight." Then came a long pause, and after she looked at her husband or boyfriend - probably looking for an answer - she turns back to me and asks:"What kind of gun is that?" So I kindly told her:"It's not a gun it is a camera and lens." She looked surprised that you could sportsshoot with a camera and lens.

->> Yep, I was walking in a mall one day a while ago, and a guy pointed at my SportsShooter hat and asked me if it was a bar or something... After inwardly rolling my eyes, I explained what SportsShooter is...

->> Dirk, I live in the heart of a cameo state. Our state government even tried to pass a very wide sweeping carry permit law. Waiting in line at a local fast food establishment this weekend a fellow with cameo head to toe asked if I shoot with something big or something small like this. Then he pulls back his jacket and there is a 32 cal on his hip.

->> When I first registered sportsshooter.com I would occasionally get an email from somebody looking to contact sportshooter.com, which at the time was a site for gun aficionados. The owners of the Sport Shooter domain eventually let that domain expire and awhile back I saw that domain was available for registration. Now it redirects to a Yahoo search.

->> @Sam a .32 isn't that big and now that I think of it, when I replied a "canon with a 400 two-eight" she probably thought a CANNON?

@Frank yes I remember those days in the early 2000's
