Nikon D90

->> I do volunteer work at an eye hospital in India. They have several hospitals, each of which uses a Nikon for patient photos. The cameras range from a D50 up to a D610, along with several film cameras that are permanently mounted on "fundus cameras".
I need to find them some more cameras, for an affordable price (meaning low price). I was amazed to see that B&H Photo still sells the D90 as a new camera!
I've never owned or used a D90, but I only remember reading good things about it. I believe it dates back to 2008, which is an eternity in the digital life of a camera.
I guess the choice comes down to buying a D90 (which I think is/was an excellent camera), or one of the new plastic toy Nikons that I would never get for myself.
Any advice? |

->> The hospital has already worn out two D70's, and has a D50 that is close to dead.
I used to have a D200; nice camera.
I bought them a used D90 with lens in 9+ condition. I probably need to find one or two more in the not too far off future. Thanks.
Debra, I will send you a message, if I can figure out how to do it here.... |
