Super Wide Lens advice needed
Paul DiSalvo, Photographer

->> I'm looking for a super wide lens or fisheye probably in the 8-12mm range for a Nikon FF body. Already have the 14-24 from Nikon and occasionally need something wider for scrums, close corners. Anyone use the Bower/Rokinon models which look like the same thing? Seems like a good option for a decent price. Also see the Sigma 8mm . I'd also almost always be cropping to a rectangle. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

->> Paul, my experience with super wide or super tele, stick with the primes. I know the money is more, usually much more, but worth it. If you are not going to use it often, you may want to look into renting.

->> You might consider picking up a Nikon 16mm fisheye. It provides an angle of view of 180 degree on FF, and thus, gives you a wider view than the 14-24mm at 14mm. It is also very small and light.
