Error 99

->> I have Canon MKIIn cameras. Beyond a failed shutter, I get" Error 99 " intermittently . Any one have a solution for this ?

->> If I remember correctly, when I get Error 99, I take the lens off, clean contacts and/or remove the battery and put it back in. Are you using an after market battery?

->> Error 99 messages are very generic. I'd agree with something I once read about that error equating it to the generic "check engine" light in your car.

-Something- has happened...

I seem to recall seeing it at times with a lens connection, and at other times with a specific memory card. In the end I never really knew and CPS checks showed everything to be fine.
