Hardware & Software solution for looping HD display

->> I have been tasked with creating a permanent audio-visual display for a client. I am looking for recommendations in hardware and software. The goal is to feed an 80” HD display with a loop feed of a combination of photographs, informational messages and some videos. I have video editing capabilities to generate a single video file but I was wondering if there was a simpler software solution that would allow for mixed media from a single source folder, pretty much like the slideshow option in Photomechanic.

->> For clients that require a display, I recommend Bright Sign players. The client (or you) would purchase one of the players (I use the basic HD120 model) and you would create the media and burn it to a SD card.

The only drawback to this system is that you have to use their authoring program and they still don't have an OS client, only Windows. So I author the media files via a cheap second hand Thinkpad laptop.

Once you have burned the media to a SD card, its brainless to setup. Put the SD card in the player, plug the player into the TV and turn the TV on. It automatically loops you media. You can even schedule it to do different presentations depending on the time of day or day of the week.

(I have no affiliation with Bright Sign. Just posting what I use for setting up displays for big trade shows).

->> Well thank you very much for your input gentlemen. I like brightsign, and a couple of people sent other software solutions and hardware ideas. Thank you so much so far. If anyone else has anything, I have room for more ideas
