->> Sounds like it's time to start a list of some of our best. Here's a few of mine from just this year:

1. My iPad doesn't take good pictures like your camera.
2. I have a 1DX so I'm a pro like you.
3. The image I copied off your web site still has your logo on it. How do I remove it? It's covering my son's face.
4. Do you offer discounts for large orders? I have 3 pictures I want to buy.
5. I'm a senior art major at XXXXXXXXXXX and would like to use a couple of your photographs in my portfolio.

And my favorite...

6. Now that my brother is dating your daughter, I get all my pictures for FREE...Right? (From the mouth of a very cool 10 year old who was just trying to be funny.)

A:XXXXX newspaper.

Quizzical look: What's a NEWSPAPER.

She wasn't kidding either. He had to explain it as a website printed on really big sheets of paper....

I know I am short and the person thinks they are being funny so I just laugh and go on doing whatever I was doing.

I used to get "what TV station are you from" a lot though when I was working full time for a newspaper. I was always nice and polite about it but I just had to laugh about it on the inside.

->> Do you guys *really* say some of these things to the poor people who just want you to take their picture?

I hate to be an off-topic Debbie Downer, but you never know who you're talking to (it could be your next client).

In the digital age, when people ask me to take their picture, I always do it. Often people aren't expecting you to actually follow through on their request, and if you do it fast enough, you end up with some bizarre expressions.

It's turned into a fun long-term project of sorts for me.

->> If someone asks me to take their picture while they pose, I usually just do it. It quiets them down, and it also never ceases to amaze me how doing so can really make some people's day. I've had people get very excited or shake my hand and graciously thank me, and the .25 seconds it takes me to skip that image in post later (or delete it after I walk away) is worth that.
