We are now using I-Pad to shoot some live stream video of hot City Council issues on our web page. We have also live streamed parades. The world of journalism is changing, and changing quickly.

->> Richard,

You can kind of do that with some bodies. Get the external wireless transmitter or something like the Canon 6D that has Wi-Fi and GPS built in, however streaming it will not. Now, how about something, even though it's not aimed towards the professional market, the new Galaxay camera from Samsung that runs Android.. That would make it super simple for someone to develop an app that would stream or upload pics to a website as they were taken...

I know it will never happen, but I would love to see Canon and Nikon become a more open platform. I know Canon likes fighting tooth and nail with the Magic Lantern people.. but if they would just allow others to write apps and let them approve it (even if they charged for submission to approve it wouldn't damage the camera) think of the possibilities we could have. I mean, I'd love to have MagicLantern on my 1Dx, just not going to happen anytime soon. Built in Intervalometer, 14Bit RAW video.. C'mon... Anyway, new products are coming that I think will address a lot of these issues (like the samsung mentioned above)
