Export problem with Lightroom 4 and Windows 8
Steven Branscombe, Photographer

->> I run Lightroom 4 on a new Windows 8 pc. When I try to export images, I use the file settings to limit the size of the export images to a specified size (2000 K). When I ran LR4 on a Windows7 pc, I had no problems, but using the same settings on the Windows 8 PC, I get an error message after the export is completed indicating "some export operations were not performed" along with a list of files. When I look at the export destination, all files are present, but the size of the files created often range in size from 350K to 5 Meg.

As I mentioned, the settings are the same as I used without issue with a Windows 7 PC. I have run both LR4 and LR4.3 with the same results. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom.

I have tried to contact Adobe through their support areas without any success yet.

Any members experiencing the same problem and possibly have a solution or workaround?

->> Yes, Kevin. Early on, I tried resetting preferences. I could have mentioned that in the earlier thread. Resetting preferences did not fix the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion.

->> Don't use the "file settings" to limit file size. Try the next section down "Image Sizing". There's a drop down menu to select megapixels. Hope this helps.

->> Thanks for the suggestion, John. I ran a couple tests and that seemed to work. I have a couple shoots this weekend that will test this in live working condition.

See you on the sidelines soon.
