->> I am a U.S. based still photographer and want to cover events in Europe. I only need liability insurance. Renee Green at NPPA/Hays says they do not provide international coverage for liability.
Does anyone know an agency from which I can get a liability only policy that will cover me in Europe?(equipment already covered) Thanks |

| ->> Have you checked with whatever company covers your house/apartment? They might be able to add a rider to your current homeowner's/renter's policy. |

->> I regularly point photographers looking for business insurance to these potential sources:
Hill & Usher

Tom Pickard & Co.

American Society of Picture Professionals

American Society of Media Photographers

You might also want to ask around and see who specializes in small business insurance in your town and who might be able to write you a policy. Do be cautious when working with an agent who specializes in home / auto / life, as sometimes companies that focus on those types of policies are hesitant to insure photographers who work primarily on assignment, and instead offer policies for photographers working from a fixed studio location. These policies are fine for those who shoot senior portraits, but I've heard horror stories from assignment photographers who thought they were covered, only to learn their policy had unexpected limitations when they went to make a claim.
Good luck. |

Not going to need it any time soon but I may need it eventually.
Any help would be appreciated |

I went through this process earlier this year. If you have photo equipment insurance....which you should....it might have it already included. |

| ->> I switched over to Hill and Usher last year and couldn't be happier. Not only did they save me about $1000/yr for business/gear/building insurance, but they are super fast when I need things like a certificate of insurance, etc. I cannot say enough good things. |
