I only need liability insurance. Renee Green at NPPA/Hays says they do not provide international coverage for liability. Do be cautious when working with an agent who specializes in home / auto / life, as sometimes companies that focus on those types of policies are hesitant to insure photographers who work primarily on assignment, and instead offer policies for photographers working from a fixed studio location. These policies are fine for those who shoot senior portraits, but I've heard horror stories from assignment photographers who thought they were covered, only to learn their policy had unexpected limitations when they went to make a claim.
