->> Keep it up Pete, you may get the hang of it one of these days... :)
Every time I look at his stuff, my jaw drops and I think, "There's no way anyone could have chosen a better photographer for this". |

| ->> David Kennerly, chief WH photographer for Gerald Ford, and Bob McNeely, Clinton's chief White House photographer, are going to be on Anderson Cooper tonight (I think it's still tonight for folks in the US). Kennerly was, in many ways, the first photographer to bring the personal touch to WH photography. A former photojournalist, like Souza, who was hired by Ford. Might be worth watching if you get CNN US. (which I don't.) |

->> During long rides on Air Force One, including his solitary flights to and from Hawaii over the holidays, he was busy rounding up players for one of his favorite pastimes: a game of spades.
His most frequent partners are Marvin Nicholson, the trip director; Pete Souza, the chief White House photographer; and Jay Carney, the press secretary. All three are remaining in their positions, eliminating the need for Mr. Obama to find new tablemates.

->> This got my attention: "But alongside the ease brought by the digital era came one difficulty: the Presidential Records Act prohibits Souza and his team from deleting any photographs. ”One of our bigger challenges is just the storage of all these images,” he says."
Wow! How hard would that be to remember the first few weeks. And I wonder what the penalty is?
"Pete, please delete that one. I look bad"
"Sorry Mrs. Obama. Federal law" |
