Let's also compare lenses, software, firmware, processing engine, etc., etc., etc. Not saying anything against the smaller camera, but, come on. I've often told people, when they're starting out, it's not a sin to use auto. Just remember to take notes, learn what the camera did, then experiment to try to duplicate it and improve upon it.
