Canon 5D Mark II CF card

->> I just received my 5D MkII back from Canon for repair. It was recommended I replace the CF card I was using which apparently was causing some of my problems. It was a SanDisk Extreme UDMA 16gb /60MB/s. I've never had problems with any SanDisk I've owned. Could anyone out there offer an opinion on a replacement? Thanks in advance.

->> It sounds as though they think a corrupted card may have been responsible for the problems you had but without seeing their actual response or knowing the problems you faced it is difficult to tell.

I'm not sure Canon are telling you to change brand as not least because I remember seeing that Canon use Sandisk for the majority of their testing. I doubt you will ever find a maker who can claim their cards have never failed.

Maybe a follow up call would be advisable to ask them to clarify their suggestion.

->> I believe those cards have a lifetime warranty. Contact Sandisk for a replacement.
