I Prefer if you can recommend me Pelican brand, but i will go with others, i have Think Tank bag but not hard case one.
Thanks |

| ->> My Pelican 1510 holds 2 Canon 1D's, 1 300 2.8, 1 70-200, 1 24-70 2.8 and still has room for 2xTC. It's FAA approved for carry-on and it has wheels. I got it for Christmas last year and I wanna say it was 150.00. Best box I ever had.. |

->> If you must have a hard case, the Pelican 1510 will hold all the gear you described and is affordable; I used a similar set-up in one of them for years.
The wheels on the Pelican cases aren't all that good, though. If you need to wheel it around on anything other than concrete, asphalt, and AstroTurf, you won't be a happy camper. |

->> Hey Micheal,
Well, i talked with customer service of Pelican online and they recommended me 2 models, none is 1510, but similar models, but to my bad surprise and bad news, i can't ship them to me, so it sounds i have to ignore this company and look for another one.
About the wheels, good you pointed that, i always wheel the bag on concrete and asphalt before i enter the field and then wheel on grass, but since i have to wheel it from car to the gates it will be a nightmare then, i will keep that in mind, thanks!!! |

->> Tareq,
Is there not a distributor that can get it to you in the UAE? |

->> Hey Patrick,
No, and i can't ship online maybe because of the weight, so it means i have to cancel Pelican from my list, or going another way but that will be much much more expensive, it is not worthy more spending if i can find another alternatives and same or maybe better quality.
In my country there are different brands who have hard cases, i bought 2 different hard cases but none for my Canon gear, and i was hoping for Pelican because i like their design and they are well known brand over the other 2 i had, so i really don't know what i have to do. |

| ->> I also use a Pelican 1510. I carry a D3, D7000 with grip, 300 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 17-55 2.8 and a SB800. You do have to get creative when plucking the foam, though. |

->> Orlando, thank you very much for your post.
As i said above, i can't buy Pelican bags, we don't have any locally dealer/retailer in my country and when i tried to place the bag online on their sites they removed it as the products is not available to be shipped to my country, so in all cases i can't get it. I can only ship it by using an address i have in USA and they ship back again to me, so it is like i do ship the bag domestically in CONUS, but that will add much more shipping costs, i don't want to go this route.
I will check another brands, or if i will know one american friend in my country who will travel to USA so then i will ask him to buy it there and bring it with him and i give him the cost he needs. |

->> @Philip: No i didn't, i will give it a try and see if someone can help, i hope i can find, thanks for pointing me to that.
@Corbey: is it a hard case bag? If not then i am not interested in that one.
@Victor: Thanks for the link. I will give it a look and see if i can find anything helpful, if they can ship internationally that will be a good news.
Cheers,
Tareq |

->> Well, i didn't know that B&H selling Pelican cases when i started this thread, but not long after i found they do, so i spent time to check different models, and i see many recommending Pelican series 1500 specifically 1510, but because i have another bag in that almost same dimensions and didn't like it much for it so i decided to get something a little bigger, so i placed an order on Pelican 1614 Waterproof 1610 Case, it is slightly bigger than 1510, and i find it will be a better fit for me than 1510, i was going to order 1654 but that was really so much big and i have that size hard case but from B&W international and dedicated for my film gear.
Can't wait to get that case and then i will put my another bag Think Tank for something else. |

->> An update:
I received my Pelican case [1610], and WOW, it has plenty of room, i am happy that i didn't order 1500 series, but i had a tough time to insert the devisions, i did a mistake as i didn't place it just as it came with, but i managed to do a certain dividing and hope that will be fine, and soon i will go to a game with it for first time, it can accommodate even 3 ore more bodies than 2 and still has room for more, so i added 1Ds3 too, now i am done with the hard case.
Thank you very much for all the helps i get here. |
