Air Travel with Vagabond Mini

->> Was wondering if anyone has done any air travel with the Vagabond Mini Lithiums? Was wondering whether there was a TSA issue with carry-on or check in. I have some old literature that says it is allowed. But it is old.
Thanks,
-M

I travel a fair amount, and on a trip not too long ago I had an interesting experience. I usually pack extra camera batteries in my checked luggage. When I checked in I was asked, for the first time, if I had packed any batteries. When I said I had, they told me that was not allowed and I had to carry them on or not take them. I also had to make sure the contacts were completely protected. They allowed me to put a piece of gaff tape over the contacts.

I did find this TSA FAQ for what it's worth.

->> Michael,

I have flown on numerous commercial and charter flights with mine and haven't had any issues. The TSA has inspected it a couple times, but they have done this with my D3 batteries as well.

->> FYI, this popped up when I checked in for my Delta flight

"Spare Batteries and Fuel Cells MUST be packed in Carry-On baggage. If your Carry-On bag is gate checked, the spare batteries and fuel cells must be removed and carried in the cabin."
