Receive your Nikon 28mm 1.8 yet?

->> Just wondering if anyone has received a copy of the new Nikon 28mm 1.8 lens, if they started shipping, etc. I ordered mine the day after it was announced and no news on shipping yet.

I am eager to get my hands on mine, and if anyone knows, how it compares with the current 24 and 35mm 1.4 primes, let us know! Thanks

->> I originally placed a pre-order with Amazon, but decided to call around last week after hearing that a few places were shipping the lens. I ended up tracking one down at Kenmore Camera, and cancelled my Amazon order. They actually have it in stock right now!

It's a great lens, definitely worth the wait.

->> Mine came in yesterday and it's pretty fantastic for the price. I've used it for two shoots today so far and I'm finding that it actually focuses a lot faster than Nikon's 24mm f/1.4 and their 35mm f/1.4

It is a little oddly shaped and I'm finding a bit more distortion out of it than my 28mm f/2.8 produced, but overall it is sharp, fast, cheap (at $699.00), lightweight and the images are very color saturated.

So far I like it...
