Broken Equipment
Eric Sucar, Photographer

->> Does anyone know of a place that pays for old/broken cameras, lenses etc. to use for spare parts? I have a couple of broken down Nikon D2H's and lenses (that aren't worth getting fixed) collecting dust in a closet. Before I turn them into flower pots I'd like to see if there's a chance to get something out of them.

I apologize if this has been addressed before and if someone can guide to the proper message I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

->> I agree with Michael, there is a canon 300 2.8 IS on ebay that "Fell in a river, now it doesn't communicate the the camera and error 20s or something" being sold for parts and as of 11:00 am EST its up to $500 with 32 bids. My guess is those 32 bidders all have CPS gold/platinum membership, and get a huge discount on repairs!

I think this is the same person that sells the water damaged 300 IS lens on eBay that Travis pointed out.

You can also call KEH in Atlanta, but It looks like eBay is the place to unload your old gear.
