Chase commerical Photog

->> I'm watching college football from the comfort of my couch today, and I just saw a very comical commercial for some credit card from Chase.
The person in the commercial is a "sports photographer" and the images in the ad show him "at work." It's very cheesy but it's an entertaining view of how the world thinks of what we do.
Pay attention and look out for this commercial -- it's a laugh. |

->> More of a head-in-hands groan of "that's what you think of us?" commercial.
I love the guys not reacting at all to the player going out of bounds until one guy gets pummeled.
And trust me, if a press motorcycle got that close to the cyclists in le Tour the press bike would be ordered out of the peloton. |

| ->> Every time that commercial comes on and the guys says "I'm a sports photographer", I roll my eyes and laugh lol... I will have to pay more attention to it now. I believe it is for Chase savings. |

->> Check out the guy's digs... all modern and hip. I'm guessing the guy ain't shooting for USPW.... :) . Of course, with those digs, he's probably married to a dentist :)

| ->> I think they have it spot on. If you are a sports photographer and living that kind of lifestyle, everything is going on your credit card. |

| ->> The "Cycling Photog" was very funny. on the moto going 10mph slower than the riders as he drifts into the middle of the pack and riders are bolting past him. I have had nightmares like that! |

| ->> You can tell the commerical is fictitious as he's not walking with a limp and the scene when he's in his chair he doesn't have a heating pad on his lower back. |

->> "No Canon equipment was harmed in the making of this film."
At least not current/viable EOS equipment. Hard to tell for sure but it looks like the subject of the commercial was using EOS stuff but the guy next to him who gets taken out appears to be using an old FD 500/4.5L on a manual focus film body. It was still 'L' lens abuse though. |

->> Jayne I was thinking the same thing! Well, kind of. I was thinking "Yeah right, I've never in my life seen a guy that good looking on a sideline!"
Well maybe except Mark Rebilas and John Gress lol. |

->> He (the fictional character) has more sex than anyone here. More money. A nicer house (or apartment). A closet filled with designer suits.
Then there's this story about the captain of a whaling ship called Ahab that I'd like to talk to you about... |

->> I wonder if the actor insisted on being paid for his work or if he did it "for the credential", for the "love of being on the sidelines" or "to get his name out there"?
Nah, I bet he got paid... meaning that this actor is actually more legit than a lot of people I see on the sidelines lately. |

| ->> Why does a bank in 2011 using fiction to sell its products sound so familiar? I wonder if they're going to repackage all their outstanding sports photographers' loans and sell them as AAA investments? |
