any Nikon shooters using Vivitar battery grip?

->> I know that the nikon MB-D10 battery grip increases the frames per second on the Nikon D700. Does anyone know if the Vivitar grip does the same?

I want to get a grip so I can shoot faster with the D700, just wondering if this cheaper one will work.

->> From what I understand, you must use the larger battery (EN-EL4a) in order to achieve the frame rate on the D700. Unless the third-party products are compatible with the chamber cover that you need to use with the larger battery, it probably won't work.

->> I am using the EL4a with the BL-3 on the Zeikos grip on a D700, all works fine. 8fps.
