Rubber Hoods

->> I have one of the Mamiya collapsible rubber hoods for my 70-200 that I use occasionally. I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar product that is compatible with Canon's 24-70. I have a generic brand "wide" rubber hood, but it vignettes past 28mm or so.

Thanks.

->> I have a Hama hood that would work well. It is collapsible into three different positions, so you could extend it more if you were working at 70, or fold it back for working in the 24 area. Shoot me a note if you want photos.

I've switched to the V2 Canon 16-35 and 24-70, which are now 82mm.

Anyone know of an appropriate rubber hood that's 82mm and will work on a wide angle?

Or some sort of other option that can go on the front of these lenses when rubber hoods are mandated?

What are others using for 82mm lenses when rubber hoods are required?

I don’t believe you have to have the hood extended to comply with basketball sideline regulations (Someone correct me if I’m wrong on this). As long as you have a rubber hood on you should be good. Just know that even with the hood not extended you might still get a little vignetting on a full-frame camera at 16mm on the 16-35mm.

->> Just an FYI, get a Flex Lens Shade, you can bend it to block light and cure the vignetting.
