->> I've been keeping track of all my client contact information, event dates, communications and more through a series of folders, notes, word documents and paper calendars. I'm convinced there must be an easier way.
I've read about PhotoBiz, ShootQ, Quicken and other services and was wondering what all of you are using... if anything at all. I guess I'm interested in something that maintains a contact database as well as something that will keep track of payments coming in as well as expenses. I realize there might not be one program that does this so if any of you are using a combination of programs, I'd love to hear about that.
Thanks in advance! |

| ->> Studio Cloud...it's an online system that has either an online application or a desktop app that uploads in real time. They backup everything for you for a monthly fee. Upgrades included with the monthly fee. Seems they worked out a lot of things and now are running pretty well. |

->> For years, I’ve been a happy user of InView/StockView from Hindsight. It does everything you could possibly require(and I know I don’t use it to its fullest extent); they offer great service and updates.
I’ve looked at other programs, but nothing comes close to the features offered by InView/StockView.

| ->> I use MYOB. I'm MAC based so not sure they make it for Windoze, but it rocks and does everything I need. |

->> Thanks everyone for your suggestions so far. Maybe I'll be a little more specific here...
1. What are all of you using to maintain a database of contacts? Word documents, pen and paper, any special programs?
2. Is there anything outside of Quicken that you all use for tax purposes? It seems Quicken for Mac is perpetually delayed so I'm not putting any trust in their Spring 2010 release date for the next version.
Disclaimer: I'm using a Mac so any Mac-based programs or solutions would be great. Thanks again! |

| ->> Studio Cloud. It is web based and also has a MAC desktop app that is very nice. They backup all your info and are secure. It is made for photographers and has a client and potential client list along with calendars, invoicing, workflow monitoring, marketing emails, and reports galore. |

->> Just to add to this list, I've been using PhotoOne for about a year.
http://www.photoonesoftware.com/
It's pricey and more geared to a large studio, but is a nice product with great customer service. And, it only runs on Windows. Yes, I have it installed on my Mac via Parallels, but getting it networked has been quite the challenge (pain in the butt).
It might not be the best option for your needs, but this is a good discussion topic and anything might be helpful to someone. |

| ->> look at http://blinkbid.com/. Been using them and am happy. Might not be good for all your needs. But great for invoicing and tracking usage licensees. |

->> I use Quicken Home and Business. I have for the past 15 years. It is perfect for my business. I love how I pull all the data straight into Turbo Tax and am able to do my own taxes.
This has helped me really know my bottom line and where I stand at any moment. |
