| ->> I was home last night and was formatting a card in my 1D. The command dial (big one on the back) was sticky, so I took a small screwdriver and lifted up the edge...now, it works sporadically...should I send it in? |

->> CPS doesn't work on these anymore. You'd have to send it to your local repair shop. If you don't have a favorite, I can recommend Mid-State Photo in RI. Sure it's far, but worth it. They do great work and typically faster than CPS.

| ->> Anybody have any idea how much a repair like this costs? It may be just as economical to pick up another body...especially in terms of time. I have ranges from 7-10 days to 4-6 weeks! |

->> That repair sounds cheap. Give the guys at Mid State a call. It could be as simple as you've partially unplugged the connection from the dial to the body.
You may also want to check on a place in Garland, TX. Garland Camera Repair (i think). |

->> Philip,
I spent 18 years in Dallas. I'd go by there frequently to check out their used equipment and occasionally have them fix a camera, but that was back in the film days. Thinking about it,they fixed one of the dials on a a film body the last time I was there. |

| ->> When did CPS stop fixing 1D's? I am sending mine in to have warranty work done on it. I got it back about a month ago from CPS. |

| ->> Louis, I thought I read that in the CPS repair guide. I could be wrong. I know for awhile they weren't considering the 1D a "pro" body for consideration into CPS. |
