->> David, OMG you are so right. I was almost embarrassed to post my images after seeing theirs.
I had nothing but bad luck on the Station Fire - had to fix engine problems on the way down, then 20 minutes later I blew (literally blew out) a tire on the freeway. Finally get to base camp and they sent me up Soledad Canyon - hour drive later and I'm just about to arrive at the big air attack when I hear on the radio that they called all the air ships off the canyons and back on to Mt Wilson. There was no way I was driving back around at that point because be my luck, the ships would end up back where I came from. Ha Ha.
Did better on the Pendleton Fire though. I'm happier with those images. |

| ->> That's very nice of you to say David. It's strange. I was out there the within an hour of it starting on Wednesday and by the time I left four hours later, it was almost out. I haven't been back since. It's hard to believe that it got out of hand like it did. Our stringer Dan Steinberg has had some great images from there, especially this one. http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/slideshow/photo//090831/480/6e0f7c3908924966a.../ |

| ->> Hey these are some AUSOME photos. I hope everyone keeps safe and is alive when its all over. This is to the East coast photogs - Do you think we will be getting some spectacular sunsets due to all the smoke in the atmosphere from the fires. I know when the volcano erupted I heard there was some great colors. Just a thought from the east side |
