->> Yesterday the Reading Eagle, a family-owned in Reading, Pa. with a 60,000 circ. and 80,000 Sunday, got hit by layoffs. 18 members of the Editorial staff and more company wide.

The photography department lost three, including full-time shooter and SS member Krissy Krummenacker. Also getting let go were night-side assignment editor Ron Romanski, and a part-time weekend editor Richard J. Patrick; both had over 40 years with the paper and were a huge part of the history of the Eagle.

All will be missed, from the department and throughout the newsroom. Read our article here

->> We heard about this at our paper today. I hope everyone effected lands on their feet.

I'm not sure if I ever shot with Krissy, but I did notice that she just took a 2nd this year in the Keystone Press Awards for news photography.
