How long has it been since you last updated?

->> On Superbowl Sunday 2005, there was a good swell at Waimea Bay. I uploaded some of my images to Sports Shooter and there they sat until today! That's right, 4 years! In that time I got married and had a son. I check the SS message boards almost daily, but I still feel like the lamest Sports Shooter member out there.
So the question is..can anyone beat my record? I sure hope so! |

Seriously? |

->> If one updates once a day, or once over four years, that does not make me loose any sleep. Getting paid using the medium of photography is much higher on my list of concerns.
Look at John W. McDonough for example. 1857 days ago was is last update. I do not see that as a sign detracting his work or making him lame. But more like a badge of honor. He is too busy and preoccupied with his daily responsibility at SI to create 600 pixels updates for SS. That is a pretty nice reality.
I have yet to receive that notification email from SS notifying me of his page update. However I am happy to see his byline along with several other photographers making some living when I see their bylines in a publication like SI, ESPN, or any where else. And to see him in person for the Olympic Photographer event a while ago now, beats any ten image update could ever provide. |

| ->> I wish there was a way to change my page without showing up as an update on the homepage? I occasionally rotate between new and old photos and don't want to force anyone to look at old stuff over and over again. |
