PC is far superior to MAC

->> I started this to divert the responses I would get from this statement from the thread where I first sayed it.
I know people will talk about monitor resolution and quality, Photoshop running better, and a bunch of other stuff that is untrue.
No vista was not an improvement to XP when it first came. It had issues that needed to be fixed the same as OS X. Now it runs well.
Its funny that apple used to say that their computers where superior because there components where proprietary, different company's didn't make different parts so they all ran together more smoothly. Now macs have the same components as pc but a less powerful version.
I could go on but I shant in fear of sounding like a nut job. :-)
O,,,,
P.S. I have a mac laptop only so I can use soundslides.
1 reason to buy a mac. |

If my memory serves me right, the Mac running XP was faster in bench tests than the PCs... |

->> I have both a Mac and PC laptop, and from my own experience with those as well as many, many encounters in various press rooms: Macs seem to have a HUGE advantage in the wireless department.
I have never, ever seen anyone having trouble connecting to a wireless network on a Powerbook with an AirPort card installed. I've never had a problem with my own. The number of times I've had someone with a Windows computer completely unable to connect to a wireless network that should be easy to get on...it's happened more times than I can count. Including my own computer in my own house. |

Richard,
I'm sorry, I already have a 3GHz Quad Core Phenom II with 8GB RAM and 6Tb storage with 3584mb of video card with a 30" LCD. But you could be wrong...
The above is said in jest (and yes, it's all available, I'm assembling a similar system this summer), but specs are not one of Mac's strong suits. :p
For the record, I too have and use both systems (macbook laptop, went through school on macs), and I like them both. There is no superior, like Bob said.

Bradley, your comment reminds me of the old joke about two little boys from Hollywood arguing.
Finally, one says "My Dad can beat your Dad!"
The other little kid gets a funny look on his face and finally blurts out: "But wait a second - my Dad is YOUR Dad!" |

I was riding from my game last night and thought about how Eric Francis, Robert Benson and Kevin Seale had me going back to his member page looking for the joke. I couldn’t wait to get home to check how many “huh’s” this thread had reached. I see someone has even cracked about his sponsor.
I saw on ESPN last night that Chuck Liddy sponsored him because he brought him back illegal memory cards from the Dominican Republic from 2001 to 2003. |
