->> I have a question
"CAPTIONS:
A complete caption is required for each entry. Your caption should include the location the photo was taken, the date it was shot, ID's and your byline. This information should be written in the "File Info" portion of the image in Photoshop."
Why include the byline? Other contests says explicitly to NOT include your byline in the cutline information to curtail any sort of bias for or against a photographer. |

->> Last call for entries!
I have the Mail program checking for new entries every 10 minutes ... while I watch the Super Bowl. |

->> Quick question: I have a composite image of a sporting event. As a single image, I would consider it a action image, but as a composite, it's more of a feature. A I allowed to enter it? I can send you a link to the image if you have questions.
Thanks,

->> - The judging panel does not see the captions, nor do the observers of the open judging session. If a judge calls for a caption, one of our workshop assistants reads the caption aloud.
- I can't tell you what category to enter your work. And I cannot review your work to determine how you enter this contest. What you enter and in what category is up to you. But I will say that a "composite photograph" or any other image that was been digitally manipulated stands a good chance of getting questioned by the judges. |

Thanks! |

->> Quick Question.
Would Olympic action be category 1 (Best Action)
or 2 (Best No Pro, No College) ?
The first half of the definition lends itself to Olympics, but the last sentence goes away from that. |

->> After entering a few pics I looked at the past winners and watched the videos of the 2005 judging. Man I wish I had done that in reverse order.
Please extend my apologies to the judges for wasting their time. The bar is very high here at sports shooter and I look forward to trying to get closer to it in 2009. :) |
