Prices for Image usage

->> Hello,
Sorry if it was asked and I just couldn't find it.

Can someone direct me somewhere where I can find how much I need to charge companies to use my images for advertising? Magazines to use my images?

I mostly work on an hourly bases and don't know that much about image use charges. Once in a while I get emails - I like your image can I buy it to use it in my advertising.

Its usually very small companies with a very small budget but I don't want to undercharge other photographers, and at the same time don't want to overcharge so they will just walk away.

Any suggestions? Where do freelance photographers get their rates from?

thank you very much,
Sergei

In case there is any doubt, this is not meant to be taken seriously.

Sergei, Fotoquote is the standard. If you would like to see it in use, go to PhotoShelter and act as if your a buyer. Try one of my images if you wish. Those that are available for licensing use the imbedded Fotoquote system.

Now that you have that, consider that there are a vast number of places that now only buy on subscription rates from places that offer them those rates... Ah, I hate to even get into it.

Once again thank you very much for all your help!
