->> It's a new photo contest out there for you to check out. My colleague Jonas Lemberg that is also the founder of The PGB Photo Award sent me this information:
"Only 5 days left to the deadline of the newest photo contest The PGB Photo Award. The contest close at the 4th of January. With a price pool of US$30.000 and a charity project The PGB Photo Award is unique. Submit your pictures today at http://www.thepgbphotoaward.com"
He adds that there are three sport categories. |

->> Since the issue of copyright with these contests always comes up, this is the synopsis from their "RULES" section (see the rules for the complete discussion). Also, there is a $10 per image entrance fee.
CLARIFICATION OF COPYRIGHT
Copyright in all images submitted to the competition will remain with the photographer. The PGB Photo Award will use the award winning pictures in the Photo Award Book, The PGB Photo Award Exhibition on The PGB Photo Award website and in promotion material connected to The PGB Photo Award. Some of the partners will use the pictures in their publications. The press will be given the award winning pictures to publish in articles connected with the award. |

EXTENDED DEADLINE
Due to uploading problems The PGB Photo Award has decided to extend it's deadline to the 12th of january 2009 23.59 GMT
All submissions should be entered as soon as possible and no later than the deadline.

FACTS
Prize pool of $30,000 (USD) in cash prizes and the honorable bronze statues. Both professional and amateur photographers are welcome to compete in The PGB Photo Award.
To submit your pictures to The PGB Photo Award you will need to open a personal account. Click on: http://competition.thephotoaward.com
The competition is open to all professional and amateur photographers worldwide.
The competition is open between 25 August, 2008 and 12 January, 2009. Pictures can only be submitted online.
Participating pictures must have been taken during the year 2008. They do not need to have been published.
The jury is allowed to move pictures between categories if they deem it necessary. |
