| ->> Does anyone have any suggestions on sideline basketball chairs. Looking for ones that will not scratch the floors in the NBA and college. Versa-flex comes to mind here, any ideas? thanks |

->> Corbey,
visit any outdoor or camping store (REI...) and they should have a selection for you.

->> I've been looking to replace mine and found this one at a local Farm and Fleet. I couldn't find anyone to get it from it's 12' high perch on the top shelf, so I'll go back again to try it out.
This one has a 2" bottom cushion - someting my butt would find comforting :)

I also saw it online at a lot of other places. Just google yukon turkey ground seat.
as an interesting side-off topic note. I also stumbled across a Yukon tree mount camera pod. Didn't look at it too close, but I may take a look to see if it's worth trying to use for someting other than hunting. |

->> I'll give a +1 and MORE for the Back Jack if you're looking for something solid. I'm a big guy (wide, tallish and over 300 lbs) and I can lean back my full weight on the Back Jack with its metal frame without any worries. It also comes with an additional cushion as an option.
It makes it into my car before my cameras if I'm covering a basketball game...(and, BTW, it does fold flat). |

->> I've considered picking up a turkey hunting vest to use for this purpose (wrestling not basketball though). They have an integrated seat cushion and a ton of big pockets etc.

Just not wild about the camo look. |

->> Mark, move south an hour or so and you'll fit right in until you hit the coast :)
Yeah, camo isn't my first choice either. I thought about a nice bright yellow John Deere tractor seat, but it's too bulky and would probably make me more of a target. |

->> The ThermaRest that has been mentioned in a previous thread is what I have used for a while. It's amazingly comfortable and durable. The chair's nylon and mesh "frame" forms their narrower width camp mattress' into a chair. I bought the thickest mattress available because it provides about 3 inches of seat padding but the thinner ones work well too. What I love about the thicker one is it raises your butt slightly off the floor and puts less pressure on the knees when you sit cross legged on the hardwood. After abusing my knees for years on sidelines, that is a welcomed relief.
It is pricey by comparison and bulkier but well worth it. |
