Anyone have interesting/different shots of a marathon?

->> Hello SportsShooter people,
I was wondering if any of you have any interesting shots or cool ideas to mess around with when covering a marathon (or any running type event). I'm shooting a freelance gig on Saturday and always find myself looking for new ideas when shooting runners. I end up getting some of the typical more boring shots and I hope to try and push myself to get better ones this time around...
So, if any of you have any cool shots that you would like to share, that would be awesome. I'm just looking for some inspiration, interesting tech-tricks or something. I'm thinking about scouting the course tomorrow and looking for somewhere I could mount a remote camera high up, I believe there will be like 1,000 people at least in the run.
I'm relatively new, 19 years old and have been freelancing for a daily paper here for about 2 1/2 years. It seems like already I have covered five or six runs at the same location this one will be held at...
Thanks!
