Witte's Wedding Photos
Jody Gomez, Photographer
Murrieta | CA | USA | Posted: 3:29 AM on 10.12.08
->> As mentioned on this thread http://www.sportsshooter.com/message_display.html?tid=30923 I was the lucky wedding shooter for Thomas Witte's wedding. It was both a wonderful and stressful day for me, as I vacillated between having a great time and shear terror that I'd completely blow it (it's not like my groom was a photographer and there was any pressure or anything!). Despite all that, I'm happy to say we (I) lived! Yay! Giggle.

The wedding was set at Kenyon College in Ohio, and it is easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I could spend days exploring the campus and taking photos. Incredible. If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly recommend that you do so, and be sure to take the ghost tour which produced some crazy images that I will upload soon.

Anyway, as promised, here are some of the wedding photos. Thomas was on his best behavior so I only managed to grab a couple silly shots, however they totally capture the Thomas that we all know and love.

Thomas, I am humbled and honored that you invited me to shoot your wedding. Congratulations my friend. You and Ginna are both wonderful people and you deserve the very best love and life have to offer.

:~)

I have to ask, Did Thomas do any "back seat driving" while you were shooting him ?

For the record, Thomas was great. He didn't offer to "help" me at all.

The pictures are beautiful.

Phew, finally Thomas can update that Post Hit in the face by a puck, icon picture with one of the pictures you took of Thomas being Thomas. (if you allow him that of course).

I wonder how many times you fired during the ceremony before he finally quit mentally calculating the shutter speed?

->> Jody;
Great job! Like Dirk and Rick, I loved the couple and shadow image. If Witte doesn't make it in photography (wink) he can start selling junk bonds for Lehman because he obviously is a heck of a sales person if he could convince anyone so lovely to marry him.

Of course, I'm not sure how I talked my wife into marrying me...

Congrats to Thomas and Ginna. Ginna, my guess is your life will be anything but boring! May your lives together be filled with much love and happiness.

Michael
