Audio Slideshow Critique
Dreier Carr, Student/Intern, Photographer

->> I am a senior photographer for NC State's Student Media and we are in the process of improving and increasing our web presence. For the photo staff, we have been turning to audio slideshows produced with Sound Slides. This semester, our editors have wanted us to try and produce an audio slideshow for each home football game. This past week NC State faced Boston College in our Homecoming and I produced an audio slideshow with the help of our photo editor, Matt Moore, and a new photographer on our staff, Craig Yates. I know there are some of you out here that have experience with SoundSlides and audio slideshows and am hoping to get some critique. Any and all advice is always appreciated, thank you for your time.

I have included another link to some more audio slideshows that our photo staff has produced for reference.
Thanks again for your time, I really respect the opinions and advice from the members of this community.

->> Not bad for one of your first attempts. My first thought is the homecoming slide show is too long. I would suggest breaking it up into smaller parts such as tailgating, the homecoming stuff, and the actual game.

here's one I did on a football game

Your audio sounds good which is a huge plus. People notice bad audio way before bad photos.

The soundslides embed utility allows you to generate the html code to put the slideshow inside the page

->> Please forgive the slight detour, but I just want to say thanks to Karl for the soundslides embed tip. Very handy. I just used it to drop a show on my blog at www.shelleyreport.blogspot.com, and it worked great.
