| ->> I went looking for the firmware upgrade for my D3, finally, and see that v 2.0 became available first of this month. Has anyone uploaded this version, and have you had any issues with it? |

| ->> Same. No problems, but my D300 still acts weird in heat. I don't get the 8FPS. |

| ->> For "8 fps" you need the Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Grip, EN-EL4a and the BL-3 Battery Chamber Cover. |

| ->> I have it all, actually got the BL-3 in Japan last year when it was out of stock everywhere here. Besides that point, whenever I get the D300 into temperatures over 85 degrees, it will not fire at 8 FPS. I thought it was maybe the "battery issue" and updated the firmware, but still the same problem. |

->> I updated my D3 firmware to 2.0 weeks ago but was curious why the link on the NIKON USA site lists a "Date Updated" of July 21st. The version and file look identical to the one I downloaded earlier in the month.
An update to the documentation or release notes I presume? |

->> I haven't had any problems with the firing rate of the D300 with the battery pack ... hot weather or not. Shot with it at the Olympic Track & Field Trials in hot weather ... beach volleyball in 90-plus temps and at a couple of other pretty hot situations.
No problems.
The "battery issue" I've read about has to do with the battery level readout being in error I believe.
If you think your camera is malfunctioning or not performing the way you think it should, it's best to get it over to a repair center soonest. |

| ->> Shooting 14-bit raw will drop the frame rate as well on the D300. |

| ->> I've had no problems getting 8fps out of mine here in Texas where temps have been 90-100 degrees in the last couple months. No problems with the v2.0 firmware for the D3 either. |

->> Hey Patrick
I've been having D300 issues in hot temps as well. My camera simply locks down for an amount of time. I was thinking of sending it in for service. |
