Printing Business Cards
Jack Megaw, Student/Intern, Photographer
West Chester | PA | America | Posted: 10:08 PM on 07.06.08
->> I recently remade my business cards, and I am currently looking for a place to get them printed at a high quality because there is an image on the cards.

Would anybody be able to recommend a good place to get them printed?

Many thanks.

-Jack

Don't let the price fool you, their products are outstanding. I had an image on my last set of cards and it turned out fantastic. Their cards are also more ridged than other online services that some of my fellow photographers have used. I would recommend them to anyone.

->> I've use PSprint.com without issue.

Beware that PrintPlace.com has an underprint/overprint clause. They'll short you, but charge for the full amount. I had this happen on place the dates for a wedding. And as a result, I'll no longer be using them because if I order 250, I want exactly what I paid for.

http://www.printplace.com/static/terms-and-conditions.aspx

Overuns and Underruns
Over-runs or under-runs will not exceed 5%. If a job is short, PrintPlace.com will prorate the missing quantity in the form of a credit toward future orders or at our discretion a reprint of the missing amount will be allowed for jobs missing 500 or more pieces.

i use images on my cards also, which is why i use my Epson R1800 to print cards on Premium Luster paper. I change my cards all the time and I make business cards with clients i just photographed to pass on to other perspective clients. its more expensive but the images/cards look great. my clients love em.

->> My Vistaprint cards were sized slightly smaller than standard and I found that irritating. Latest batch where by (White House Custom Color)WHCC. They are an excellent, although, more expensive, printer. I've used them for promo cards, business cards, and prints and have been very pleased both with the quality of their product and their high level of service. The do require you to set up an account and do test prints to make sure you're calibrated.
