->> Does anyone have any experience with either brand of cards? I need to buy some 2g or 4g cards and don't have a ton of cash to spend.
I tried looking back at some of those sales that people were having a while back but nothing comes up on sale anymore.
Thanks |

->> Never a problem with Kingston, just as reliable and Lexar/Sandisk. Half my cards are Kingston.

| ->> I consistently use a couple pny cards along with sandisk cards and the pny cards have been very reliable. However, in the future I will probably stick with sandisk cards because their customer service and card replacement (in case something does go bad) is pretty fast and trouble free. |

->> Transcend cards seem to give you more bang for the buck, in my experience, but you can get much faster cards if you don't mind paying a lot more. But it really depends on the particular card. Check the performance charts for your camera at Galbraith's site, which have been recently updated, as well as Chuck's site linked above.

Staples has the PNY Pro 266X cards at a decent price, if you don't feel like ordering. It's a nice card.
Lots of stores are blowing out the Sandisk Ultra II's pretty cheap, but they are pretty old technology now and very slow in most newer cameras. I recommend going for at least the Extreme III.
Newegg.com is usually tough to beat on price for the cards they carry. |
