->> I joined many friends tonight (after the Giants awful home opener) in toasting the great Steve Fainaru of the Washington Post who won the International Reporting Pulitzer Prize today for "his heavily reported series on private security contractors in Iraq that operate outside most of the laws governing American forces."

Steve is a Bay Area native and resident who happens to have a brother who is a pretty fair country writer (Mark Fainaru-Wada of "Game of Shadows" fame).
