Full length white/balck foam core
Tom Sperduto, Photographer

->> Anyone have a good dealer for full length white and black foam core?
My trip to Lowes and Home Depot turned up nada.
It's been tough to find and I am sure some here are using it.
I need a panel about 5 or 6 feet high white on on side and black on the other. I have no problem combining two boards together.
Thanks for the help!

->> As Alan said call the art supply houses in your area. What always worked for me was the half inch Gatorfoam sheets 4X8ft. (white and black) for studio and quarter inch for location work.

->> Tom,

Here in Pgh one of the better places to find foamcore is a place called Allegheny Plywood - why stock display board at a lumber yard is anyone's guess. I'd try set shop and framing suppliers in the Yellow Book. They may want to sell "to the trade," but you are indeed qualified, right?

->> Just call the big studios in manhattan(Milk, Pier 59, Industria, and Fotocare as well). They should be able to either sell it to you or tell you where to buy it. It might be a little more expensive, but it will get you what you need. Let us know where the cheapest place you find them is!

->> A quick look at one of the local shop sites gave up this catalog index with a link to the Gatorfoam prices (last entry on the bottom). There's gotta be a similar company that deals with shops in Edison.

As with any venture, why pay retail?

->> I decided to go with Amazon.com
The prices I found were not horrible.
Sturdy Board Foam Boards, 3/16" Thick, 20"x30", Black/ Black Core,
10/Carton EPI951120
$27.43

----------

1 of Foam Board, 22"x28", 5/CT, White (PAC5557), $13.36

The sizes aren't exactly what I was looking for, but gaffers tape should help.

Thanks for all the help.

They have the smaller boards, not the 4x8 size.
They have white and black at the store nearby.
