Any other suggestions? |

->> Jason,
I'm a podcast junkie as well. Check out http://www.photocastnetwork.com. There's some great podcasts on there. I listen fairly regularly to Lightsouce, The Candid Frame, as well as the Nikonians. |

->> I know this will probably get me nominated for the Dumb as a Post award, but woould someone elaborate on podcasts? My limited knowledge is that they (one?) is a downloadable kind of magazine article or commentary that can dump onto my Shuffle and listen at my leisure.
Have I got this right? |

->> Dave, yes, a podcast (named after the iPod) is an audio file that can be downloaded and listened to on your computer or iPod. Some podcasts are "vodcasts" that include video in addition to audio.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast is a good place to start. |

My buddy Howard Lipin, a staff photographer at the San Diego Union-Tribune, is the co-host.

->> Dave,
Most importantly... podcasts are typically free. You needn't buy an iPod or any music from iTunes. Download iTunes if you're on a PC and install it. Then, go to the iTunes music store. There you'll find a graphic or menu for podcasts. You can use the search function to find podcasts related to your niche interest. You can listen to a single podcast or subscribe (for free) to a particular podcast.
In addition, you don't even have to have iTunes. There are a number of other RSS feeds, services and software for listening, but I myself haven't explored that. |
