AI Conversion for older Nikon lenses

->> I remember a fellow from many years ago who was doing an "AI Conversion" to allow older Nikkor lenses to be used with the newer cameras. I tried to do a "search" for this here, but didn't find anything.

Anyone here have this done recently? If so, where did you get it done? I've got some older Nikkor lenses that might become useful to me once again if I figure out a way to afford a D3.

Actually, I'm not sure how many Nikons these lenses will now work on - I probably need to write Nikon USA and ask about it before trying to fit one onto one of my cameras, present or future. Still, without the conversion being done, I think it's impossible to mount the lenses on any of the newer Nikons.

Any advice?

Rolland has converted non AI lenses to AI and he also converts AI lenses to work with the metering of the newer cameras. I had him do 2 of my lenses, a 300 f4 and an early 80-200 zoom. They are still manual focus but work in all the program modes. I use them on my D2H and F5. Except for manual focus you can't tell the difference. They work just like the 500 F4 P lens that Nikon started building in the mid '80s.
