Who won big money on the Superbowl?
Rodrigo Pena, Photographer

->> Just curious to know if anyone who may have been visiting Las Vegas for the Superbowl (or any other location/means where gambling is legal) has won any money from the Superbowl. I wanted to take the 12 points and the NY Giants, but I just never got around to it.

I was listening to Mark & Brian (95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles) and they interviewed the owner of Sportsbook in Las Vegas. M&B asked the owner if they would take a bath if the Patriots lost and the owner said it would look that way if the current betting situation remained the same. He said things could change between then (day before Superbowl) and the Superbowl.

I'm guessing they lost quite a bit of money, but who knows.

->> I lost six dollars to my friends...but none of the betting was on the actual score or winning teams.

One of my dad's coworkers, on the other hand, put a bet back in the beginning of the season that the Giants would win the Super Bowl. He put down 20 or 30 dollars, and ended up collecting over 2k. Not bad...

->> When I was in Vegas I placed a $20 bet for my father-in-law's friend back in September. He bet on the Giants. I forget what the odds were, but I think my wife said he will make over $1800!!! We should have listen to him and made a bet ourselves.

->> I put down $20 on a straight bet on the gmen and came away with $66 or $86 (they haven't gotten back yet, and I haven't talked with them) but it was good enough to see Bellichick and co. lose, the money is just gravy.
