Haunting Image II

->> If this photo had been any of ours and it had been entered for a Pulitzer Prize "a contest", would any of us still be questioning it?

Great photojournalism deserves recognition and if you look back over the Pulitzer Prize winners over the decades, many would be just as haunting and I'm glad they were recognized! That's why we are all familiar with those great shots!

The Pulitzer Prize winning photos are partly responsible for my photojournalistic style of shooting.

Should a photographer take these types of images? Paul quotes the mother regarding taking photos of her dying son, "Yes, we want everyone to know what they've done." I think they have to be taken.

Should it be entered into a contest? I would hesitate to enter it, if it were mine, but I wouldn't know about the image if he didn't enter it.

I am glad we are all passionate about it. It has made me think about life and the situation a little harder.

I wish people would show this kind of passion in getting rid of violence in film and video games. That's the place we should put down the cameras. I can see where violence becomes disturbing to us, and an image like this might cause that type of reaction. I am sick of the violence that is put on a pedastol. Unfortunately it takes away from these images that are the real thing.

The was flooded because of violence. "for through men the land is filled with violence." I see a pattern.
